The Internet’s Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz
Aaron Swartz (November 8, 1986 – January 11, 2013) was a child prodigy, an activist and a programmer responsible for many of the improvements in the modern-day information exchange, including RSS, Creative Commons, Reddit and many more organisations fighting for freedom of the internet. Aaron dedicated his short but very fruitful life to making the public information accessible to the public. His convictions ultimately took a toll on his own life, but his legacy continues to live on through his work and the work of other people inspired by his actions.
This documentary is about his life and work and as such it is an important piece of the puzzle for anyone that cares about the freedom of information and ultimately the freedom of human kind.
